And a little jab at Twilight: “No vampires. It’s about a community where kids are selected from their home districts to fight to the death…but we don’t drink blood. That would be sick.” – Jennifer Lawrence.
Hunger Games talk at 3:20
“Josh and I are both crazy and so it’s good when we have other people that are not crazy to calm us down a little bit, but when Josh and I are together, we’re so bad for each other. Josh and I were in his room watching some show about crocodiles, and then we went screaming about Avatar and how upsetting it was that we couldn’t live on Pandora, and we couldn’t be Avatars no matter how hard we tried and we were screaming at the top of our lungs, and before I realized it, Liam ran in and was like, “ARE YOU GUYS ALRIGHT?” and we’re both totally upset, covering our faces all “RUUAHHH AVATAR!!!” Source: E! | via: mockingjay.net From LionsgateNews,
The role of Portia, Peeta Mellark’s assigned stylist in The Hunger Games, will be played by Latarsha Rose (left image). While the role of Octavia, on Katniss Everdeen's prep team will be played by Brooke Bundy. And be sure and watch her on David Letterman tonight (5/19), and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon tomorrow (5/20). I wouldn't be surprised if HG was brought up during either interview!
Source: AccessHollywood | via: Mockinjay.net MTV's HollywoodCrush highlights the positive feedback fans have showed at the first images of Jennifer as Katniss:
When the Entertainment Weekly cover featuring Jennifer in full-on Games mode was released yesterday, supporters everywhere were allowed a triumphant, "I told you so!" While, "Hunger Games" Examiner Sara Gundell said that any concerns fans had about Jennifer have been "laid to rest." Read the rest here. Here's a preview of this week's EW cover story featuring the first images of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss: In this week’s cover story, EW was granted an exclusive interview with a newly brunette Lawrence, and spent hours watching her train on a Los Angeles archery range and track, just days before she was due on the North Carolina set. When Lawrence was offered the role, she describes her response as a mixture of elation-and desperate anxiety. “I knew that as soon as I said yes, my life would change,” she says. “And I walked around an entire day thinking ‘It’s not too late, I could still go back and do indies, I haven’t said yes yet, it’s not too late.’” And yet, who can turn their back on Katniss? “I love this story,” she says, “and if I had said no, I would regret it every day.” Read more at Entertainment Weekly! 2 weeks worth of casting round-up includes: final districts' tributes and Haymitch! (Again, sorry for being MIA)
From EW's Inside Movies: Samuel Tan — who is making his movie debut inHunger Games — will be playing District 8′s unnamed tribute boy, while Mackenzie Lintz, also making her debut, will play District 8′s unnamed tribute girl. Not much is known about either character, but Lintz’s tribute does have a run-in with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in the book.
Since the last site update, 5 Districts were cast. I know I know, so sorry for being MIA (running two sites solo are proving to be a challenge) but I will attempt to stay on top of the news more. So without further ado, the Tributes! Many Unnamed and Foxface!
